I finally finished The
Street Sweeper by Elliot Perlman. It
was a Big Thick Book. An epic novel that
started coming together around page 550.
In fact, I think there was at least one storyline that just fell of the
radar. Even Perlman got lost in this
book because it was so long.
Parts of this book were boring. Parts were fascinating. Parts were so disturbing I had to look at
friends’ baby pictures on Instagram before I could go to sleep. I feel some
relief that it is over. Not a great sign.
I wrote the above on December 18, then noticed that my blog
was boring. Seriously – a boring book
blog??? How does that even happen??
Hoping for inspiration in 2014.
